Marc Lawes has volunteered to begin the initial development of a Sunday School program. It will be offered on the first and third Sunday of the month. Sunday school will be held at same time as the Sunday morning schedule, starting at 9 AM, on the second floor of the AZC. The aim of Sunday School is to educate children about Buddhism, and foster compassion and mindfulness; the activates will include drawing, coloring, story telling, crafting, and 1 to 5 minutes of sitting. After the adults have finished zazen the children will join in the morning ceremony. Afterward, children attending Sunday School may stay to listen to the Dharma Talk or resume up stairs.

Sunday School is intended for children who are fully potty trained, roughly 4 years and older.
